Nepal Adventure Trip

Dhud Kunda Trekking

Dhud Kunda TrekkingThis Trek is most enjoyable and Camping trek because there is no available of the Lodges and Teahouse. It is an old rout, which the Tenzing Norgay and Edimin Hillery have been, climb the Mt Everest and still it is using the same rout. You have an insider's look at the high mountains and remote Solu region. However, less high and famous than the neighboring Khumbu, it is likewise inhabited by the friendly Sherpa people. Solu also receives far less trekking traffic than the Khumbu, making for a more intimate and authentic experience. Dudh Kunda Lake is situated at the foot of Numbur Himal that is popular trekking trail in Solu khumbu region.

Dudh Kunda (which literally means milky lake) is believed to be a holy lake and the locals believe that taking a dip in the holy waters will have the wishes granted as well as you will enjoy and see panoramic Himalayan views of Everest, Number, and Everest Himalaya range etc. you will see Green forest with Rhododendron flowers, pine tree + wild animals /birds such as Mountain Thars, Bears, Leopard, Jackal, pheasant, and Milky lake. Dudh Kunda Trekking trail taking you through dense forests of rhododendron and a variety of wildlife. The hospitality of the locals is one of the most heart-warming experiences of the solu area with depth experience of Elbruz trekking team professionals.

Drive from Kathmandu to Jiri and during two days we follow the Jiri - Lukla old route before heading to a completely new route through forested ridges and sparsely inhabited area. From day six, we trek through high pastures, pine and rhododendron forests without permanent settlement. Walking upstream the Beni Khola we reach Dudh Kunda and keep one day for exploring around. Rather than retracing our footsteps in return, we descend towards Khumbu region for ending in Lukla. Next day we fly back to Katmandu.
