Rolwaling Khumbu TrekkingRolwaling ‘the grave' as the valley is so deeply buried between vertical mountains. We begin our journey with a scenic drive on the Katmandu-Lhasa highway to the ancient trading town of Barabise(Dolkha), which is the largest bazaar in the Bhote Kosi gorge. Our walking through a scheduled, one of the most beautiful parts of Nepal starts here. We trek through the Rolwaling valley, celebrated as one of the seven hidden valleys in the Himalayan, past beautiful Sherpa and Tamang villages. Our upward climb leads to the scattered white houses of Dolongsa, with its small gomba above. Next, we pass through an enchanting forest with many rhododendrons, which are following by steep hills climb to Tinsing La and the convent called Bigu Gomba. Several hours' walk beyond Chilangka, trekkers round a ridgeline and enter the Bhote Kosi valley, which has excellent views of the twin peaked Gauri Shankhar(7145m), Bigu Gompa, Mt. Dorje Lakpa and Mt. Tashi Lapcha(5755m) all along the trail,which is an unusual and beautifully situated nunnery. Here more than around 300 nuns reside in this Gomba.

After Beding, we move on Yalung Ri Base Camp. Next day, we take a great opportunity for short climbs of Peak Yalung Ri (5463m.) and decent to the same day Na is the last Sherpa village of this valley, where more than 20 good Sherpa climbers, have conquered Mt. Everest and numerous other (8000m) peaks. We cross over the Tashi Lapcha pass (5755m) and visit Thame, Tenzin Norgay's hometown, and enter the Khumbu valley, the land of the Sherpas that lies at the foot of Everest.

This trek also offers a great opportunity for short climbs of peaks like Ramdong(5930m) and Pharchamoro (6187m). This trek being strenuous, technical climbing experience so good mountaineering gear is essential. At last the trek comlpite at Namche-Lukla and fly back to Katmandu.
