Lower Rolwaling Trekking
Trekking in the lower Rolwaling area offers insights into the daily lives of hardworking people struggling to make a living beautiful and also offers relatively low elevation (generally below 4200mt.) that means few worries about acclimatization or altitude problem. This trek provides fascinating and beautiful views of valleys and mountains like Rolwaling, Lapchi ranges, Gaurishankar,Yalung Ri(5630m),Ramduing Ri(5930m),Kang Nachago(6735m)and Bamongo(6400m)etc.
Our trek starts from Katmandu to Barhabise for four hours and to Charikot(Dolkha) six hours with easy access of bus or car. The area is accessible even during the monsoon season and there is no need to depend on flight or extra margins. Steep hillside paths connecting scattered villages as well same riverside trails higher altitude trekking (above (3000mt.) begins above Simigaon, but most of the area requires no advanced trekking or mountaineering skills characterize the terrain. Some of the lodges have been listed to the administration of the recently established Gauri Shankar Conservation Area; in addition, there are several privately run lodges and inns, which make it possible to trek without tents and full camping equipment. However, in comparison with the more popular and intensively visited trekking areas of Nepal, tourism is still low in volume and the infrastructure is of admittedly modest dimensions. After completion of our trek we return back to Katmandu through Charikot( Dolkha) via bus or car.
