The Upper Mustang Trek is a moderately challenging and adventurous journey to the vibrant and restricted areas (Annapurna region and the northern part of the Mustang area) of Nepal. The trip is one of the most thrilling explorations through the eventual off-the-beaten-track gateway to Lomanthang. Lomanthang is the mysterious forbidden Buddhist kingdom of Mustang. It is the perfect golden opportunity to uncover the mystic realm of the ancient walled village with its striking architecture. You experience spirituality walking through several chortens, monasteries, gompas, flapping prayer flags, mani walls inscribed with Buddhist mantras, ancient caves, and holy fossil rocks. Another attraction is  Mustange King Palace, which will take you back in time amidst rich history.

The 17-day itinerary package of Upper Mustang offers an eye-capturing Himalayan panorama of the Annapurna trekking route, arid land, cliffs, green meadows, fields of barley & wheat, and artistic monasteries near the paths in the villages. The region isn't only renowned for the trekking that traverses through one of the high desert places in Nepal but also the unique attire of the inhabitants, strongly influenced by Tibetan Buddhism, with their delightful smiles, adds to the joy. Over 17 days, it will be a soothing walk adjacent to nature, away from the uproar of urban life. Since this area is accompanied by historical and religious monuments, and the geography differs from other parts of Nepal, it will be a paradise for mankind.

The Upper Mustang Trekking itinerary commences with an amusing and scenic road ride from Kathmandu to Pokhara. After traversing several villages such as Jomsom, Kagbeni, Chele, Syangboche, Ghami, and Charang, you arrive at the walled city of Lomanthang. You will stroll around the cultural and traditional significant heritages in the region. While passing through the desert-like landscapes of the Upper Mustang region, you witness enticing scenes of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Mt. Nilgiri, and more prehistoric hamlets and other ancient monuments. You immerse yourself in the distinctive cultures of the locals and their lifestyle near the Nepalese and Tibetan border.

After spending a couple of days in the upper Mustang region, you trek to Jomsom, known as the windiest town in Nepal, located in the lower Mustang area. You fly to Pokhara from Jomsom and enjoy the delightful environment. After exploring the sparkling city, you drive to Kathmandu early tomorrow morning. Then you are nearer to concluding the Upper Mustang Trek Nepal package. Before leaving the Himalayan country, you explore the capital city's historical places and natural wonders. The following day, our officials will do a warm farewell on departure day. There may not be luxurious hotels or contemporary facilities in a 17-day guided trek. However, you feel like you are in a world of your own. As well, that is far from the dog-eat-dog world of the civilized world.

In conclusion, the Upper Mustang Trek is an enthralling journey that allows you to explore the stunning natural beauty, amazing isolation, and the extraordinary creation of enormous boulders of preserved areas by the government. Its difficulty level is moderate; however, travelers must be well informed about Mustang trekking before heading to the relevant areas. You should be well prepared with physical fitness and a positive mindset, as you have to pass several mountain passes.

Among numerous variations of the itinerary and guide, the Upper Mustang Trek itinerary and guide are suitable for all types of tourists, such as nature lovers, trekking admirers of cultures and religions, trek enthusiasts, and adventure seekers. Nepal Adventure Trip Pvt. Ltd. provides you with a 17-day package at the best price. And you will go for exploration with a well-trained license holder guide.
