The Pokhara–Jomsom & Muktinath trek takes you along Kali Gandaki to Muktinath(3720m) passing by border of Mustang. This trek is the most popular trekking routes for both the international and domestic tourists and can be done at any time except monsoon session July –August and popularly known as Himalaya– Sharingla. Jomsom(2713m) is a very remote village but full of natural beauties. Now it has become closer and easier because of the frequent flights from Pokhara. In this Trek you can experience lovely Annapurna foothill, alpine walk, landscape view, varieties of ethnic culture and landscape of Tibetan plateau. In addition, you can also have the culture, festival, dress and Tibetan people living style.
Drive by bus from Pokhara to Nayapul and walk to Birenthati. In the next few days, you travel through lovely Gurung villages and rhododendron forest to Ghorepani (2860m) and descend to Tatopani (1189m) at the bank of Kali Gandaki-river. As you hike through the Kali Gandaki Valley, passing through the deepest gorge in the world, the trek finally emerges into the wide valley of Jomsom, a Himalayan Shangri-la. The views from the first rays of the sun at the break of dawn grace the pinnacles of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna from Ghorepani, creating a landscape that is magnificent to behold. The trail gradually ascends to the villages of Tukuche, Marpha and Jomsom.
Along the route, fascinating traditional villages of Gurung, Magar & Thakali will keep you enthralled day after day as you hike along the way. You can view several worlds highest peak such as Dhaulagiri(8167m), Annapurna South (7219m), Tukuche(6920m) and Nilgiri(6940m).Once you reach Jomsom you can either trek to the famous Muktinath temple (Temple of Lord Vishnu) at 3710 meter or explore the fascinating villages around Jomsom. After the completion of the mission, we will have flight to Pokhara from Jomsom.The Pokhara-Jomsom & Muktinath Trek is counted as an easy trek which is possible to do almost each month of year except July & August due to heavy rainy season in Nepal.
