This valley includes two villages development committee Chhekampar and Chumchet.The great Buddhist mediator Yogi Chyuchin Milarepa once meditated here in the cave of the great mountains. We can explore so many Buddhist ancient monasteries during the Tsum Valley. Buddhist religion has a keen sense of beautiful a mystic sense of nature that plays an important part in leading the mind from the mundane to the higher and deeper world of the divine and in transforming mere existence into an experience of living with wisdom and compassion. For hiking, you have to bring warm clothing, a walking stick or poles and comfortable but supportive hiking shoes. Nighttime temperatures can drop to below freezing at higher elevations, so bring a warm sleeping bag…as well as a light sleeping sheet for warmer nights in lower valleys. Please help keep Tsum Valley clean by bringing a re-useable water bottle that can be refilled with boiled or filtered drinking water (provided free by Tsum Valley Home Stay daily), rather than buying water in disposable plastic bottles along the way.
Medical care is scarce to non-existent in this remote valley, so bring sufficient medicine and first aid supplies for your personal needs as well as local people who may occasionally request your help.
